I need a list to draw from when I post on this blog. I get so bored with just using this as a diary.

Got a few new books, one of which I am very excited about. It is an encyclopedia of ghosts and hauntings. The very language the book is written in stirs echoes of ideas in my brain. It's called The Encyclopedia of Ghosts and Spirits. I've also finished (in order of viewing) NCIS season 4, Criminal Minds Seasons 1 and 2, and Heroes. All Christmas gifts. I've also gotten out of the worst of the funk.

On a more serious note, one of my acquaintances up here has had a heart attack. He's forty years old and has scared the hell out of me. Is it wrong that the first thing I thought of when I heard the news, after asking if he was okay, was 'I need to get my s*** together'? I've decided that this year is going to be one of slow and acceptable changes for me, for my health. Read tarynbthorne at the live journal site for more details of my escapades.

As for writing, I've hit a dry spell, at least as far as BICHOK (Butt in chair, Hands on keys). My idea machine seems intent on churning out at least half a dozen new ideas for the percolator to work on. Guess I should explain. My writing works like this...1) new story idea comes, either in concept form OR a character jumps fully formed in my head OR a scene between two characters jumps into my addled brain 2) I put said idea in a new part of said addled brain to gather more information on, develop plot ideas, and basically percolate 3) I outline the idea on index cards 4)I bang out a first draft.  I've got lots of 1 and 2 happening, but it's the 3 and 4 I need to start working on.

My cat has begun her lap running around the house, so I guess I should put up the computer, finish cooking supper and get my stuff together for work tomorrow. I would swear she is part Siamese with all the noises she makes. She's so talkative lately.  See ya soon!
